Rove, You're an Idiot

So, Greenspan calls for a consumption tax. The occasionally independent Chairman of the Federal Reserve has been collaborating with the White House again. The logic? Enter Rove:

The White House has recently begun to signal its enthusiasm for such a mix of reforms. Following Mr Bush's off-the-cuff statement of admiration for Slovakia's flat tax on his visit to Bratislava last week, Karl Rove, his chief political strategist and top domestic policy adviser, last night enthused about the merits of consumption taxes and flat taxes. “You look at those central European economies that have adopted these tax reforms, and they're growing at powerful rates,” Mr Rove said on CNBC television.
Excuse me, but are they trying to compare the US' economy to Slovakia's? An apt analogy: if I want to grow from my relatively short stature, I should starting eating baby food because my kid is growing awfully fast.

I think it will be good for America to hear more of Rove now that he has an official position. We'll get to see more of the idiocy of Bush's Brain.
